Samsung Galaxy Nexus Europe Release Date Is 17 November

Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the next flagship Android smartphone. It is an amazing device that was revealed earlier last week and is a direct competitor to the iPhone 4S. While there has been no word about American release date of Galaxy Nexus, it has been confirmed that the Europe release date of Samsung Galaxy Nexus in 17 November, 2011.

Samsung confirmed earlier today that the European release of Galaxy Nexus will take place on November 17th. This date was revealed through Twitter and was met with widespread appreciation by those who have been anxiously waiting for this device in Europe.

As previously mentioned, Galaxy Nexus is the next flagship Android device that Samsung and Google co-developed. It is the first device manufactured specifically for Android 4.0 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich, Google's latest update to the Android mobile platform which comes with a ton of new features and improvements.

If you're in the USA, you'll probably have to wait for a month or so ahead of November 17 till the carriers involved reveal a release date of Galaxy Nexus in USA. Meanwhile, potential customers in Europe should be happy as they'll be able to get their hands on the latest flagship Android smartphone starting November 17, 2011.

Samsung offers Apple a deal to Begin Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch in Australia

Samsung has offered Apple a mysterious deal which will allow Samsung to begin sales of Galaxy tab 10.1 in Australia , this deal could save Samsung and it’s Galaxy tab from being just a story in the history as Apple won a temporarily ban of Samsung Galaxy 10.1 in Australia as we reported few days ago.This step from Samsung may considered a weak position for Samsung in this war but may be they see that’s a smart move as they want Galaxy tab 10.1 to see the day light.

According to The Wall Street Journal :

It wasn’t clear what benefit Apple would gain from any agreement, as details of the proposed deal were not discussed in full in front of the court. But Apple’s attorney, Stephen Burley, conceded there was some potential benefit from an agreement on the matter. “(Samsung’s) inconvenience would be diminished and we would be comforted” by such a deal, he said.
Justice Annabelle Bennett said that the proposed deal wouldn’t give Samsung the satisfaction of a final answer to the dispute, but Mr. Catterns said it would at least allow the company to sell its new tablet computer ahead of the crucial Christmas sales period.

We are not sure that Apple will make this deal with Samsung after all this lawsuits but what about being a winner ? , in your opinion if Apple banned the Galaxy tab in Australia will this increase the sales of iPad , or Samsung will success to convince Apple to have a mutual benefit or Apple intends to kill Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 ? the answer will be clear in the upcoming days.

Samsung Looking for Banning iPhone 5

Rivalry between Samsung and Apple keeps on growing day by day. Apple has not officially announced iPhone 5 yet and according to the report from Korea Times, Samsung is already looking for ban on sales of upcoming iPhone 5 in Korea.

"Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung's wireless technology related patents," said a senior executive from Samsung Electronics, asking not to be identified.

"For as long as Apple does not drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell its i-branded products without using our patents. We will stick to a strong stance against Apple during the lingering legal fights"

As no one knows how Phone 5 will look like or what features will be there in it, Samsung is still preparing to have lawsuit against iPhone 5. Apple has already claimed that Samsung Electronics copied the look and feel of iPhones and iPads in its Galaxy series of smartphones and touch-screen tablets. Let's see when iPhone 5 arrives and what Samsung are up to.

HTC Wants To Purchase webOS To Compete With iOS

When it comes to Android, we know that it is the only strong competitor to iOS in the market. While iOS devices are solely manufactured by Apple only, Android devices are manufactured by host of companies, HTC being the market leader in that segment. So obviously, HTC sees iOS as competition and now it wants to purchase webOS in order to take over that competition.

Cher Wang, who is the Chairwoman of HTC has said that the company wants to buy its own mobile operating system. Once it does that, HTC will turn down the development of Android handsets a bit and focus on developing and improving the operating system that they buy.

The Chairwoman has revealed that the company has set its sights on webOS, an operating system that HP acquired from Palm back in April 2010 for $1.2 Billion. It is possible that HP may sell webOS as they have already liquidated all stocks of webOS based products and have cancelled any further development of webOS based devices.

Nevertheless, if HP does intend to sell webOS, a lot of buyers will be lined up for it, including HTC's rival Samsung. Cher Wang states that the Board of Directors have thought this through and are absolutely sure of the decision that they want to make. The question here is, if HTC does end up being successful in buying webOS, what will it do with it that will save HTC from a fate like that of HP?
